Letter of Support for the Aviation Funding Solvency Act

Submitted to the United States House of Representatives, Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, Subcommittee on Aviation.

Dear Chairman Graves and Ranking Member Larsen:

Thank you for your continued leadership of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and for your dedication to enhancing United States aviation safety. Reliable Robotics is proud to provide our support for the bipartisan Aviation Funding Solvency Act (H.R. 6086) and we urge members of the Committee to vote in favor of advancing this legislation. This bill will make certain that Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) employees responsible for aviation safety and air traffic control functions are not directly impacted by possible future government shutdowns.

Reliable Robotics was founded in 2017 to develop and bring to market aviation safety-enhancing technologies, including auto-taxi, auto-takeoff, and auto-land as well as high-integrity navigation and aircraft autonomy. These technologies will prevent the most common causes of fatal aviation accidents and save lives. In addition, our dual-use technology will provide crucial contested logistics capabilities to the United States military.

The United States is in a global race to complete the FAA certification and operational approval of innovative aviation safety technologies, including aircraft autonomy. During government shutdowns, many FAA employees focused on these safety-critical efforts must pause their work, which results in delays and threatens United States competitiveness. The Aviation Funding Solvency Act will significantly mitigate these negative impacts and help the United States expand its global leadership in aviation safety.

Thank you for the significant bipartisan efforts to build broad support for H.R. 6086 and we look forward to this legislation rapidly moving towards final passage.
